A water project may include building distribution, drinking-water supply, irrigation and wastewater drainage. Split these requirements before selecting PP-R, PVC-U or HDPE. Matching pipe diameters alone does not establish matching duty or joint compatibility.
PPR pipes and fittings, uPVC pressure pipes, HDPE water pipes and soil, waste and rainwater pipes describe different needs. French schedules may use tubes, tuyaux, raccords and AEP for drinking-water supply. In Angola and Mozambique, PEAD means HDPE and tubos e acessórios means pipes and fittings. Not automatically. A 1/2-inch or 3/4-inch thread does not represent a plastic pipe’s outside diameter. Specify each fitting end, the thread standard if known and the pipe dimensions.
Minimum quantities depend on the reference, packaging and consolidation. Separate pipe metres, straight lengths or coils from individual fittings. Accepted quantities are confirmed in the quotation.
Send a bill of quantities by material, diameter and required class, with quantities and receiving country. Specify whether pricing should be per metre, straight length, coil or fitting, together with the requested Incoterm.
