Sikagard®-705 L is a silane impregnation for reducing water absorption in concrete and cement-based substrates. Supplied as a ready-to-use liquid, it is intended for structures exposed to chlorides, de-icing salts or marine environments. The treatment penetrates the substrate while preserving water-vapour permeability.
Substrate porosity, condition and exposure determine suitability for hydrophobic impregnation. Clean and prepare as instructed, then test absorption and appearance. Surface water repellency does not replace treatment of cracks, joints or identified water-entry paths.
