Sikaplan® SGmA-20 is a 2 mm PVC membrane for waterproofing build-ups installed beneath ballast. Glass-fleece reinforcement supports dimensional stability, while connections are hot-air welded. It is used in the protected or green-roof configurations described by the manufacturer, together with the separation layers required by the selected system.
A ballasted roof must be designed for protection weight, substrate and insulation. Check separation layers, upstands and drainage. Select the membrane and accessories together, using installation and welding procedures consistent with the documented system.
