DECORMED Extra-Fine Decorative Plaster – MEDGYP

DECORMED is MEDGYP’s extra-fine decorative plaster for ornamental plasterwork, casting and modelling. It is a beta hemihydrate plaster made from natural Tunisian gypsum, with a stated purity above 94%. The DECORMED product name and its identified packaging make it possible to specify this particular reference when preparing purchase requirements for a decorative workshop or building project.

The French technical sheet lists decorative ceilings, columns, ceiling roses and mouldings among its applications. It specifies a plaster-to-water ratio of 125–135%, an initial knife setting time of eight to ten minutes and an end-of-setting time of twenty to twenty-two minutes at Shore 40. Water quality, mixing conditions and the selected ratio affect how the material behaves, so the amount mixed should match the planned working sequence.

For preparation, sprinkle the powder into clean water and mix slowly using clean equipment, following the manufacturer’s instructions. DECORMED is supplied in 40 kg bags. Keep bags dry, protected from moisture and clear of the ground, and carefully close partially used packaging. The stated maximum storage period is twelve months after manufacture.
