Sika® CarboDur® BC is a range of round carbon rods for strengthening reinforced or prestressed concrete structures. The rods are bonded into grooves prepared in the concrete surface, creating reinforcement integrated with the substrate. The structural adhesive is selected according to groove geometry and application conditions.
Structural strengthening requires assessment and design of the complete system. Geometry, fibre direction, anchorage and adhesives are defined against the substrate and loads. This reference belongs to an engineered process using the components and checks specified for the project.
