Tapware, sanitary ware, pipes and fittings form a system whose interfaces must match. A mixer tap, shower tray or fitting is selected by its dimensions, installation and the specifications of the associated equipment. Prepare a reference-by-reference list to coordinate visible products and technical components, rather than assuming that a photograph or stated diameter establishes compatibility.

Information to include

• State dimensions, material, diameter and connection type; for a pipe system, include the fluid, expected service temperature and pressure so proposed references can be compared.
• For sanitary ware and taps, describe mounting, centres, drainage and finish. For replacements, include the reference or photographs of the equipment and connections.
• List quantities per model, required accessories and receiving location. Request available drawings and documents to confirm dimensions and the contents of the supply.
