Personal protective equipment

Your selection: Personal protective equipment

A site may require concrete equipment, scaffolding, lifting equipment, generators, pumps, tools and PPE. Start with the task, required capacity and operating conditions. A machine reference should also specify its accessories and power source; a description such as “generator” or “pump” does not by itself define a complete item of equipment.

Information to include

• State the task, expected capacity, operating duration and available power source; for a pump or generator, include the specifications of your requirement.
• List accessories, useful dimensions and handling constraints. For scaffolding or shoring, provide the configuration and project documents for a suitable enquiry.
• Specify quantities, destination and expected documents. For PPE, identify the relevant risk, sizes and requested reference rather than asking for generic protection.
